University of West London class of 2015. Lives on nitro cold brew, caffeine and energy drinks. Has a vinyl record collection that could rival your grandfather's. Black clothing always, weird patterns, floral Friday and other crazy patterns. Vegan since childhood. Long drives but mindful of his carbon footprint. Looks like he is the grumpiest, most miserable lad on the planet when in reality he is quite the opposite. Basically he has a PH.D. in resting bitch face. You'll often find him sitting by himself or with close friends when he's out and about, usually in a corner where he can observe the world and it's happenings as they occur around him. Diagnosed with anxiety and insomnia from an early age he manages well but refuses medication outside of natural remedies to help him cope. Both of his parents grew up in the London area and went there for university, got married and settled down. While in university Oliver studied applied sound engineering while his mother Maddison studied architectural design technology. He has two younger siblings whom he adores and keeps in touch with often. He met one of best friends ever, Jasper, soon after Jasper moved to the UK. Their fathers knew each other growing up which led to them growing closer as friends after their boys did so first. When it came time to enroll in university himself Blake decided to double major in music mixing & mastering and journalism.

Despite Jasper moving back to the United States their friendship never frayed. When Rose, Jasper's grandmother, fell in and unfortunately passed away he traveled across the pond to be there in the family's time of need. After graduating with his bachelors in both areas of study Blake went on to write for various local music publications in the London and UK area. In his spare time Blake was often found working or assisting at a smaller, but reputable recording studio. It wasn't unusual to see Blake spend more time with one vocation and less at another and then a weeks time later see the same happen but in the reverse order. In August of 2019 Blake was advised of a position opening up in New York City at Loudwire. Having history in the music industry both behind the scenes as well as in literature Blake completed a virtual interview and was offered the position the next day. This caused a slight panic as far as living arrangements were concerned at first but those are now all taken care of.

His relationship with Jazmine has quite a cute yet comedic story to it. As she is Jasper's twin sister Blake has known Jazmine practically their entire lives. The two were easily great friends growing up with a romantic interest creeping up into the atmosphere around the time they were each in secondary. For the longest time they kept things to playful flirting until Jazmine returned home for the holidays in 2016. They started dating New Year's Day in 2017 and in 2019 Blake proposed. Their relationship for a long duration of time was long-distance, with Jazmine living in Los Angeles and Blake living in London. They finally were able to lmove together when Blake got a job at Loudwire in New York City and Jazmine was happy to move to the city with Jasper living there. They originally took over Jasper's apartment in Manhattan after Jasper moved in with his (then) girlfriend, Zelda. To kick off 2020, however, they purchased a home in Brooklyn together before they got married to start their next chapter off in a proper way. On 1st February, Blake and Jazmine, among their family and friends, married at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. They decided to keep both of their last names and decided to use Cruz-Ward instead of either Cruz or Ward.
